    Taking Care of Your Mental Health and Well-Being

    One of the simplest and most helpful tools City of Rochester employees and their families might have is the Bree Health App. Through this free app, life coaching and counseling services abound to assist with issues including stress, anxiety, relationships, job development, and more.

    The Bree Health App is handy because it allows you access to many other services. Whether you have personal issues, stress at work, or wish to grow in your career, the app provides professional help. City employees and their families can use it free of charge. To begin, download the app using the code 8796.

    The Bree Health App allows you to obtain tailored life guidance or counseling. This feature will enable you to improve your mental health from the comfort of your own home and at your own pace.

    Participate in “Take Five” activities to work on your mental health.

    Through “Take Five” activities, City of Rochester employees can relax from their hectic schedules and empty their minds. These little mental health breaks on the first and third Wednesdays of the month provide colouring pages, games, and puzzles to help individuals be more conscious and rested.

    The “Take Five” activities for this month will take place in the City Hall Atrium on May 7 and 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. These light, enjoyable chores can help you relax and clear your thoughts, improving your mood and enabling you to focus for the rest of the day. A brief break can be quite beneficial, especially during a hectic workday. You might choose to use one of these breaks for mental health if you’re under stress.

    The City Wellness Committee.

    Additionally, MVP Healthcare and the City Wellness Committee are excellent venues for employees to obtain help prioritizing their emotional and physical health. These services aim to help employees be generally healthy and well-off, thereby arming them with the tools they need to manage stress and maintain daily balance.

    MVP Healthcare provides on-site help for city employees. Melissa Miller, in charge of the Health Promotion Program, will address any concerns regarding MVP’s wellness initiatives and offerings. Free Health Fair, You can meet Melissa at the City Hall Cafeteria on May 14 and 28 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to learn about the tools you can acquire from MVP Healthcare.

    City Wellness Committee

    The City Wellness Committee is also doing the Mind Body Challenge from May 19 to June 15 with MVP Healthcare’s support. This challenge is supposed to help employees maintain their physical and mental fitness by integrating mindfulness techniques like guided meditation with physical activity.

    People are encouraged to stay active and meditate with friends as part of the Mind Body Challenge. People who meditate may find their tension reduced and their thinking clearer.
